Rorschach is an abstract font inspired by the uneven strokes and unpredictability of Comic Sans. The characters in this font family were created to resemble Rorschach’s constantly morphing inkblot mask. The Watchmen comic series was Vincent Connare’s main inspiration while designing Comic Sans and as such, the concept for this font was inspired by the comic’s main protagonist Rorschach.
The goal for this project was to take the font Comic Sans, possibly the most hated font in the design community aside from Papyrus and abstract it into something more interesting and aesthetically pleasing. The results are somewhat illegible but that was the intent.
